Information sessions took place in the Fall of 2005.

The Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission (AADAC), on behalf of the Government of Alberta, conducted information sessions to inform the public about the Smoke-Free Places Act. These sessions were held in 9 communities across Alberta and were intended to inform participants about the Smoke-Free Places Act including its regulations and give business owners and community members an opportunity to discuss the Act and have their questions answered. The locations and schedule for the information sessions were as follows:

Bonnyville November 15, 2005 – 10 am to Noon
    Location: Shaw House (Hi. 28, west of Bonnyville)
Fort McMurray November 16, 2005 – 10 am to Noon
    Location: The Sawridge (530 MacKenzie Blvd)
Peace River November 17, 2005 – 10 am to Noon
    Location: The Peace Valley Inn (9609 – 101 St.)
Hinton November 23, 2005 – 10 am to Noon
    Location: Lakeview Inn and Suites (The Ramada, Thompson Room, 500 Smith St.)
Rocky Mountain House November 29, 2005 – 10 am to Noon
Location: The Veterans’ Hall, Rocky Legion (4911- 49 Street)
Wainwright November 30, 2005 – 10 am to Noon
Location: Hall #2, Town of Wainwright (700 2nd Ave)
Strathmore December 6, 2005 – 10 am to Noon
